It is no secret that one of our partners is deeply / madly in love with fishing, and anything that has to do with the sport. So it comes as no surprise that this is but one of many projects that we’ll be doing for this industry. It began with a couple of fishing enthusiasts partnering up under the name Balao (pronounced Ballyhoo) Lures when they became exclusive dealers of the brand Roatan Lures.
Roatan Lures began in the island of Roatan (Honduras), and then changed operations to Florida. Once there, it was of their interest to expand to markets, such as the Gulf of Mexico (on the Mexican side). In two avid fishermen, they found exactly what they were looking for in terms of distribution. And, it was these two people that got in touch with Moma Consulting with a challenge in mind.
They specifically asked for the lures to be shot up-close, and create a catalogue with all the specifications of each one of them. They also requested for a fan page to be created, and to monitor the insights for them. For this assignment, we mounted our lights, and did some beauty shots for the fishing lures.
These are the results
Soon enough, fishermen from cities like Tampico, and Veracruz began purchasing these lures thanks to the catalogue, and the Social Media efforts we created for them, A couple of months down the road, a team from Tampico even won the Marlin Fishing Tournament with the Algarve from the picture above.
