This was a very small collaboration we did for our friends at Can’t Stop Smokin’ in McAllen, Texas. We were contacted by their staff to do a food photography session for their print, and Social Media. Upon meeting up with them for the initial conversations about the objective of the shoot, and scouting the location, we had the opportunity to take a look at what they had been doing in terms of advertising. We saw previous issues of the magazines where they were appearing, and learned as much as we could about their demographic, as well as their intention / goals. This is an example of what they had been doing in terms of photography, and advertising: The staff had been favoring the use of cell phone images as an approach for their social media. Their objective, was to shoot items up, close, and personal in order to have the “hero” ingredient pop out. at Moma Consulting, we believed that giving all the weight to the main ingredient was definitely the way to go, and we began working on the shoot as per requested. Here are some examples of the work we presented for them:
These pieces have been used for “De Shopping” Magazine, and on Social Media.
The purpose of the shoot, as mentioned before, was to isolate the main ingredient, and to allow the consumer to view it up, close, and personal. Working with the guys at Can’t Stop Smokin’ was a true delight, and we wish them all the best, hoping we can partner up in more projects in the future.
