1st Annual Loadgistics Golf Tournament
This project was a great challenge to put together. When approached by the gentleman who wanted to put this tournament together, We were faced with a number of challenges. 1) Time-frame: We began working on this project on late march, and only had 75 days to put it together 2) Logistics: We crafted the tournament from scratch, negotiating absolutely everything; golf course, date, time, media placements, sponsors, break even points, proceedings, etc. 3) Event Teams: Promoters to up & cross-sell at the opening night, as well as throughout the event 4) Cause Marketing: This tournament served a bigger purpose, and that’s what got us on board. For this event we worked in benefit of the Mission Volunteer Fire Department. Throughout these weeks, we met regularly with Chief Lopez, and his staff to look for ways to benefit the department. Countless hours, a great amount of sales pitches, sponsorship requests, and staff meetings lead us to a very well executed Golf Tournament held at Cimarron Country Club on Shary Road, at Mission, Texas. On June 13th, and after 75 days of hard work, the 1st Annual Loadgistics Golf Tournament that had been announced on Social Life Magazine, and Telemundo, had its tee-off. Teams with individuals that came from across the Rio Grande Valley, as well as Reynosa, and Mexico City took part in this great event. They always say that events should have a little bit of luck, and a whole lot of fortune. We believe we were very lucky to have such wonderful response from the community, and were fortunate enough to watch a team of retired firefighters head home with the 1st Place Prize.
At Moma Consulting we’re always looking forward to give back, especially to a community that has given us so much, like the one at the Rio Grande Valley. When we got called, we discussed that we would be interested in taking part, if there was a cause associated to this event. So when Chief Lopez, and his staff at the Mission Volunteer Fire Department agreed to take part on this event, we agreed to participate.
We were thrilled to see how companies, players, volunteers, and staff came together. We even had renown golfer Jorge Mendoza joining us at the interview at Telemundo to promote the event.
In the end, we can say we’re satisfied with the results of this event. At Moma Consulting we have provided the tournament’s staff with solid foundations to make this event bigger every year. From everyone at Moma Consulting, we would like to thank the sponsors such as: MLS Freight, Social Life Magazine, Telemundo, Kobe, The Man’s Shop, Espino’s Tires, AAA Ambulance Services, and a very special thanks to the Mission Firefighters for your help, and support.
